MBP Bonsai Studio is pleased to introduce Mr. Koji Hiramatsu from Kokubunji, Japan. Koji regularly teaches bonsai in Japan but this will be his first experience teaching outside Japan. He has very good English and he is an excellent teacher. Please join us in welcoming him.

We have known Koji and his family for over 20 years and we have had the pleasure of seeing this young man grow and mature as a bonsai artist and now as a leader in the All Japan Shohin Association.

Koji is 43 years old, he is a 4^th generation bonsai grower, teacher and he is married with two children. He and his father Kuniaki Hiramatsu operate the family business Syunsyou-en. In the past several years Syunsyou-en has become a magnet for shohin bonsai in Japan. Koji is a Director and Authorized Instructor of the All Japan Shohin Bonsai Association.

Although Koji’s specialty is shohin bonsai, over the past 20 years he has exhibited his skill on just about any size bonsai.

Koji has been selected as the headliner at the Shohin St Louis II Convention on May 20 - 22, 2011, at the Gateway Center in Collinsville , IL. presented by The Bonsai Society of Greater St. Louis. Don’t miss this chance to see his work and to work with him in one or more of his workshops
