Mr Yamaji will conduct a lecture/demonstration on Sunday March 7, 2010.
The lecture/demonstration will begin promptly at 12:00 PM, A tree from his demonstration will be raffled at the end of his presentation.
Workshops Begin at 8:30 AM and at 5:00 PM
We are proud and excited to have Mr. Hiroyoshi Yamaji ,”Hiro,” return to MBP Bonsai Studio again this year. He is an excellent teacher and constantly amazes us with his skill, imagination and good humor. Everyone who attended his workshop and lectures in past years went away inspired, ready to start more bonsai projects with renewed confidence and a fresh perspective.
Unfortunately due to a very busy schedule this year, Mr. Yamaji will only have one day available for a Lecture/Demonstration and two Workshops. Please make your plans to attend now get your registrations in early. Workshops are limited to 10 students.
Mr. Yamaji will teach morning and afternoon workshop sessions. All workshops with Mr. Yamaji require you to bring your own material or purchase material at our nursery. It is advisable to have one or two trees in addition to your primary workshop tree just in case you finish your primary tree early. If you prefer, Mr. Yamaji can assist you in selecting a tree or trees from our stock for the workshops. Please do this before the workshop starting time.

Mr. Yamaji is a second generation bonsai grower from the Japanese island of Shikoku near the city of Takamatsu.
Following his graduation from Kansai Gaidai Junior College he took over his father’s bonsai business of growing bonsai. His business now includes exporting bonsai to many countries in the Americas and Europe.
Mr. Yamaji is 56 years old. He is married with four children, three girls and one boy. For the bast 37 years the Yamaji family business, Sanshoen Bonsai, has provided leadership for the bonsai growers of Shikoku Island. Mr. Yamaji is a member of the Nippon Bonsai Association and he is Vice President of the Bonsai Division of the Kokubunnji Agricultural Cooperatives.
In addition to being an excellent bonsai artist and grower, Hiroyoshi has excellent English skills. He has a very disarming personality all of which make him an excellent teacher. The cost is low for a Japanese bonsai teacher of his caliber, so don’t miss this opportunity to create quality bonsai of your own with his help.
