Don't miss Mr. Yamaji's lecture/demonstration
on Sunday February 24

Mr. Yamaji ,”Hiro,” is returning to MBP Bonsai Studio to teach and amaze us with his skill, imagination and good humor. Everyone who attended past years’ “Hiro” events went away inspired, ready to start more bonsai projects with renewed confidence and a fresh perspective.
Mr. Yamaji is a second generation bonsai grower from the Japanese island of Shikoku near the city of Takamatsu.

Following his graduation from Kansai Gaidai Junior College he took over his father’s bonsai business of growing bonsai. His business now includes exporting bonsai to many countries in the Americas and Europe.

Mr. Yamaji is 54 years old. He is married with four children, three girls and one boy.
For the bast 35 years the Yamaji family business, Sanshoen Bonsai, has provided leadership for the bonsai growers of Shikoku Island. Mr. Yamaji is a member of the Nippon Bonsai Association and he is Vice President of the Bonsai Division of the Kokubunnji Agricultural Cooperatives.

In addition to being an excellent bonsai artist and grower, Hiroyoshi has excellent English skills. He has a very disarming personality all of which make him an excellent teacher.
The cost is low for a Japanese bonsai teacher of his caliber, so don’t miss this opportunity to create quality bonsai of your own with his help.

Mr Yamaji will conduct a free lecture/demonstration open to the public beginning at 12:30 PM on Sunday February 24. There is no charge to observe. The tree will be raffled with the proceeds going to support The Texas State Bonsai Exhibit.

Mr. Yamaji will teach morning and afternoon workshop sessions.  All workshops with Mr. Yamaji require you to bring your own material. It is advisable to have one or two trees in addition to your primary workshop tree just in case you finish your primary tree early. If you prefer, Mr. Yamaji can assist you in selecting a tree or trees from our stock for the workshops. Please do this before the workshop starting time. We have some great new trees just released from 2 year USDA quarantine.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. Yamaji back to Texas. Don’t miss this opportunity for some really expert instruction from a really nice bonsai master.

Hint, weekday workshops usually have fewer students, a great opportunity for more individual attention from Mr. Yamaji.
